Disney Big Sleeve: Live Action Cinderella

Hey Guys Today I am going to talk about the Live Action Cinderella Disney Big Sleeve edition which I recently purchased after seeing in it a vlog I was watching by Ellie Steadman after she was sent the Beauty and the Beast one. As soon as I saw it was Live Action Cinderella I had to buy it because it is my favourite Disney film. There are different ones you can buy which include Guardians of the Galaxy, Aladdin, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Finding Dory as well as Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. It looks like a vinyl record which is in a sleeve with all the film details on the back like how long it is and what is on the discs as well as what is inside. I love how simple the design is by just using the shoe it is so beautiful. When taken out of the sleeve the front stays the same but the back slides off the show a gorgeous picture of Lily James as Cinderella fleeing from the ball, this picture is also the cover on the normal DVD edition. Once you open it up ...

Irregular Choice Cinderella Shoes Review

Hey Guys I thought I would do something a little bit different and write a review about a very special pair of shoes that I bought from Irregular Choice. I wanted to wait until I had worn the shoes properly to be able to give an honest review about them. The shoes I am going to talk about are from Irregular Choice's Limited Edition Cinderella Collection, the ones I bought are the Sparkle On pair which are a high heeled and black sequinned. Sparkle On Firstly I want to talk about my experience of buying the shoes. Before that I want to say that I bought these shoes for a special reason and that was for my graduation day which was happening the following Thursday (2nd). I did queue up for these shoes when they were released at midday on Friday 28th October at the Irregular Choice in Birmingham however, these were not the pair I originally wanted as I actually wanted the Bibbidi Bobbidi pair. There was a decent queue outside the shop when I arrived and the shop had...

October Books

Hey Guys I thought I would share my love of reading a bit more on this blog by doing a monthly wrap up dedicated purely to the books I've read during each month whether I've read 1 book or 4 books, I will be sharing my in depth thoughts trying not to spoil them if I can avoid it but if it is sequels or series then sometimes they can be avoided, so approach with your own caution. I will also keep you updated on how I am progressing towards my Goodreads goal which is set at 40 books. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo The first three books I read this month were the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. These are made up of Shadow and Bone (Book 1), Siege and Storm (Book 2) and Ruin and Rising (Book 3). These books are about a girl called Alina Starkov who is just a plain ordinary girl until her best friend is brutally injured in an attack, where she unleashes a dormant power to save his life. This power could be used to save her war ridden country. She is then taken to the ro...

Top 5 Shows I Want To See

Hey Guys I did a post on the best 5 shows I have seen on stage which you can read here  which I wanted to follow that up by doing a Top 5 shows I want to see. 1. The Lion King I feel like all my theatre friends even my sister has seen this show apart from me. Unfortunately I missed out on the school trip for this when I was in Year 7 because I opted for something else. I am hoping this is the one most likely on this list that I am going to go and see soon. I am a huge lover of Disney if you didn't know and I like The Lion King it's not one of my favourites but I would put it on out of choice and I am intrigued to see how it is going to be done on stage and how good the music will sound. However, the tickets for this show are very expensive which puts me off just a little bit and is the main reason why I haven't seen it yet. Lion King is on at the Lyceum Theatre in London. 2. The Jersey Boys This is a musical that has been on my list for a very long time becaus...

September Review

Hey Guys So another month has come and gone and we are now 3/4 of the way through the year which is madness. This means it is time for another monthly review. September has been a very busy month for me but an absolutely amazing one with me getting to go to some amazing events that happened. Firstly this month I attended the book event at The Glee Club for Carrie Hope Fletcher's debut novel On The Other Side which you can read about here to see in depth about the event. I would like to thank Carrie for taking the time to read the blog post I did and for sharing it with everyone. Sticking with the Carrie theme the second exciting thing that happened this month was that me and one of my friends went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Hippodrome in Birmingham and I loved it so much was amazing to see a film I loved during my childhood be played out in front of me. I loved Lee Mead and Carrie as Mr Potts and Truly there relationship on stage was lovely. My biggest surpri...

Carrie Hope Fletcher Book Signing

Hey Guys On Monday 12th September I attended Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing for her fiction book On The Other Side at the Glee Club in Birmingham. This is the second time I have met Carrie and once again she was an absolute pleasure to listen too. I attended this event on my own, and I must stay that I think the Glee Club and the Waterstones team planned and hosted the event so well considering there was 350 people that turned up to this event and each one of those people had bought a ticket and a book. We were seated quite early as doors opened at 6 and I was in a seat by 6:30 with the event starting at 7, however there were people who turned up 10 minutes before the event and had to stand up because of all the seats that were taken which gives you an idea of how many people attended this event. Before the signing of the actual books, there was a 40 minute question and answer session with a representative from Waterstones asking Carrie questions about her book, being...

August Review

Hey Guys It's that time again for a end of month review and favourites, I cannot believe that it is September now as we speak. So August wasn't exciting like July was but this month I got a job, found out that I will be graduating in November apart from that I enjoyed my last month of summer freedom before having to deal with adult life. One thing that I was so excited about this month was the My Burberry Black campaign which featured Lily James and it is stunning and I cannot wait to smell the perfume. FILM: I went to the cinema 4 times this month which is better than previous months. I saw Finding Dory, Romeo and Juliet, Star Trek and Suicide Squad. I enjoyed Finding Dory for what it was I wouldn't see it again but I enjoyed it nonetheless and I did tear up quite a few times and baby Dory is the most adorable squish possible. Yes I am still harping on about this play but I went to see Kenneth Branagh's Romeo and Juliet in cinema which was the showing that was br...

5 Best Shows I Have Seen

Hey Guys Hope everyone is ok. Lately I have been in a very theatre mood so I thought I would list the best 5 shows I have seen on stage both play and musical. 1. Aladdin I only saw this show in June of this year as it only opened in May, and it was absolutely amazing. This is one of my favourite Disney movies and to see it on stage was magical, I have a whole blog post review on it which you can see here . I urge you to go and see it as it'll make you laugh and cry and the music is just fantastic. 2. Kenneth Branagh's Romeo and Juliet Once again I only saw this recently and it was really worth the wait it was amazing translation of the Shakespeare tragedy which is my personal favourite play. I recently saw this in cinema as well as unfortunately there was no Richard Madden when I saw it at the theatre. Again I have a review here so can read my in-depth thoughts on it but it was so good, the acting was flawless. 3. Wicked I feel like this...

July Review and Favourites

Hey Guys Can't believe August is here already so that means it is time for another monthly favourites this time for July. I spent a majority of July away I went to London with my best friend for a couple of days we went to see Romeo and Juliet, also out of the blue we got to see the premier for Star Trek: Beyond in Leicester Square which was amazing to experience. I then went on holiday down to Somerset for a week with my family, then I went on a group trip to have a tour of Wembley Stadium. PLAY: I feel like this is obvious but the best thing I did in July was go and see the Branagh Theatre Company production of Romeo and Juliet which stars Lily James, Richard Madden, Derek Jacobi and Meera Syal. Unfortunately we did not get to see Richard Madden due to his injury but that did not take away the fact that it was an absolute acting master class and an amazing interpretation of Shakespeare. My and my friend Amy did a full review which you can check out here  to see our thoughts...

Review of Kenneth Branagh's Romeo and Juliet

On the 12 th July me and my best friend Amy went to watch Kenneth Branagh’s take on Romeo and Juliet at the Garrick Theatre in London. Anyone who knows me knows how excited of I have been to see this play and we had both waited 6 months to see this. There is a plethora of famous names in this notably Branagh reuniting his Cinderella couple of Lily James and Richard Madden as the star crossed lovers. Additionally, another Cinderella actor of Derek Jacobi undertaking the role of Mercutio and actress Meera Syal playing the Nurse. Unfortunately, due to injury Richard Madden did not perform which I have to admit was disappointing but as they say the show must go on, which it did amazingly well we were both in awe of the standard of acting we saw. The play is set in 1950s Verona and is very La Dolce Vita in style, however the traditional Shakespeare language is used and there is also a lot of added Italian in there which worked so well. The staging was phenomenal yet ve...

June Review and Favourites

Hey Guys Today I'm going to talk about how the month of June went for me it was rather busy and hectic but thoroughly enjoyable at the same time. So this month I went to London then I went glamping in Chepstow with my boyfriend and some friends then I went to the Glee Club in Birmingham for a Comedy Night for a friend's birthday. Additionally, me and my boyfriend have a booked trip to Disneyland Paris for next February-March for my birthday, this will be my first time ever going to Disney which is an absolute dream come true. FILM: This month I watched one film in the cinema which was Alice Through The Looking Glass which I thoroughly enjoyed and thought had a lovely message about time. I also did see the first one before I saw this one and enjoyed that as well. I'd give them both a 4/5 stars, not my favourite but I still really enjoyed them nonetheless. BOOKS: I read three books this month which were The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan, Always with Love by Giov...

Aladdin The Musical

Hi Guys So this week I saw the Aladdin musical which has come to London’s West End taking up residence in the Prince Edward Theatre. I love Aladdin as a Disney film it has to be my favourite, the music is amazing. So it’s very intriguing how this was going to translate onto stage because it was either going to be very successful or very bad. I was apprehensive going into it because it is my favourite Disney film and sometimes directors change things and they don’t work or the actors are not to the standard of the characters. I can honestly say that this is the BEST show I have ever seen, it instantly became my favourite musical above the likes of Wicked and Les Miserables. As soon as Arabian Nights started I wanted to cry with happiness because I was seeing my favourite Disney film on stage in front of me. There are many changes they have made from the film such as no animals so instead Aladdin and Jasmine get given three friends which works wonderfully. There’s a few addit...

Beauty and the Beast Teaser Trailer Reaction

Hey Guys Hope everyone is okay, this is a bit of a spur of the moment blog post but I wanted to express my reaction to the live action Beauty and the Beast trailer that dropped today and what I think. First off I like Disney live action films though I have only seen two of them because I think they only work for the right kind of Disney film. The two I have seen are Maleficent which I liked at the time but not a huge fan of because I did not like the twist it took on the Sleeping Beauty story but Angelina Jolie is amazing as Maleficent. The other one is live action Cinderella which I absolutely adore and my love for this film is a blog post within itself. Here is a link for the Beauty and the Beast Trailer the film is out on 17th March 2017 (too long !!!!) Trailer First point is the music in this trailer is absolutely phenomenal and the traditional music you associate with Beauty and the Beast. The castle has this eeriness to it but is equally as stunning as it shows how be...

April favourites and review

Hi Guys Hope you are all doing well. Time for another monthly favourites and review for April. FILM: I watched 3 films this month which were The Huntsman: Winter War, Bastille Day and Captain America: Civil War. The obvious favourite is Captain America which really was amazing, however if you need to have watched Captain America: Winter Solider and Avengers: Age of Ultron to fully understand what happens in this film. I enjoyed The Huntsman but I had a feeling at the end of was that it and I thought the dwarves humour was a bit overdone and ended up being annoying. Bastille Day was very good involving a pick pocket and a CIA cop trying to uncover a bomb plot in Pairs. However I did think it was heavy focused on Idris Elba's character and they made Richard Madden's character a bit too much of a pansy when it came to fights. I did rediscover a film from my childhood as well as it was on Netflix and this was Anastasia which is about a Russian family who get cursed and Anasta...

March Favourites

Hey Guys Hope you are all well, that time again for another monthly favourites cannot believe that March has come and gone already it is crazy. DAY: I know this might seem like a bit of an odd one but my favourite day this month was my birthday which was on the 2nd, was a lovely day to spend with the people I love and the food we had from Apres was delicious. I was truly spoilt with presents and what was an added bonus was I put a bet on Adam Lallana to score against Manchester City I thought why not it is my birthday why not bet on my favourite player to score a goal, I didn't expect it to happen at all but it did so that made my birthday a little bit more special. FILM: I had quite a good month with going to the cinema I saw 3 films this month which were London Has Fallen, Allegient and Batman V Superman. My favourite was obviously Batman v Superman I loved it so much, I know it had bad reviews but I don't really read them because I prefer to have my own opinion a...
