Irregular Choice Cinderella Shoes Review

Hey Guys

I thought I would do something a little bit different and write a review about a very special pair of shoes that I bought from Irregular Choice. I wanted to wait until I had worn the shoes properly to be able to give an honest review about them.

The shoes I am going to talk about are from Irregular Choice's Limited Edition Cinderella Collection, the ones I bought are the Sparkle On pair which are a high heeled and black sequinned.

Sparkle On
Firstly I want to talk about my experience of buying the shoes. Before that I want to say that I bought these shoes for a special reason and that was for my graduation day which was happening the following Thursday (2nd). I did queue up for these shoes when they were released at midday on Friday 28th October at the Irregular Choice in Birmingham however, these were not the pair I originally wanted as I actually wanted the Bibbidi Bobbidi pair. There was a decent queue outside the shop when I arrived and the shop had this brilliant system of only letting 3 customers in at a time and running a one in on out policy the whole time, altogether I waited between an hour and an hour and fifteen which I expected because most people were trying on every single shoe. Eventually, I got my turn to buy some shoes. It was basically a personal shopping experience, you went in and the assistant asks which pairs you want to try and what size, then you take a seat and they bring them all to you which was fantastic. Unfortunately they only had one pair of Bibbidi Bobbidi left which were in a half size smaller that my shoe size so I was gutted when they didn't fit me. So my back up plan was the Sparkle On pair which I ended up getting in a 37 (UK 4), what I didn't realise until I queued outside the shop is that these shoes light up all around the shoe, whilst you walk. I warn you now these shoes are very expensive because they are limited edition. Overall I had an amazing experience buying my shoes and the staff in the shop were so lovely and helpful and amazing.

Bibbidi Bobbidi

These are the most beautiful pair of shoes I've ever seen, even better than some designer ones, they are proper princess shoes. Firstly they come in the most gorgeous box I have ever seen it is completely Cinderella themed inside is pink Cinderella themed tissue paper that has all the mice including Jaq, Gus and Perla.

They have black sequins all over them with a massive bow on the back of the shoe, all of which is covered in lights which obviously light up when you walk.

They have a 9in heel which a much softer material which is also black, embroidered with little silver stars and a small silver bow around the middle which adds to the amazing detail that is already on these shoes.

Finally, the best part of these shoes apart from the lights is the sole, each shoe has a different picture on the sole. One has Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother and the other has the pumpkin carriage and the castle. Both soles have a little picture of the castle with So This is Love written underneath. Again these shoes truly are beautiful.

Finally, I wore these shoes for about 6-7 hours on the day of my graduation and I had to walk a long way to get to the venue. I would advise putting insoles in them as they will feel so much more comfortable as well as fitting better. I completely forgot in the rush of the day to put plasters on my little toes so they subsequently ended up with blisters which is my own fault. I did get another blister on the side of my foot but that is because one shoe was tighter than the other. However, these were the first time I'd worn them properly so wear and tear on my feet is expected. These shoes were really comfortable throughout the day considering how long I wore them for but after 6 hours of wear my feet did hurt. The heel has obviously worn a bit but what I am amazed about is the soles because they are just dirty, they haven't scratched at all even after I was walking on stone floor all day. The amount of compliments I got throughout the day about these shoes was incredible, even the guy whose hand I shook on stage for graduation said nice shoes to me. A little girl was fixated by them and her mother said they were like Cinderella shoes without knowing they actually were.

Overall I would highly recommend these shoes and the whole collection, if you have the money and can get hold of them. I loved my pair and I shall get the out of the box for more special occasions when they come around, they made me feel like a proper princess. Unfortunately the only picture I have of them lighting up only has one of the shoes lit up.

Review- Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour

This weekend I went and watched the tour cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. I’ve not seen this show before but it has been on my list for a long time. I’d only heard one or two songs before so I was going in with no ideas of what it was like and I found it very enjoyable. Background This is based on the true story of 16 year old Jamie New who dreams of being a drag queen as well as wearing a dress to his prom. Throughout the show we see Jamie go through a journey of self discovery which has so many highs and lows. Along the way we meet people who are and aren’t supportive of his dream and how much prejudice he has to contend with. The show first opened on the West End in 2017 and is currently on its second UK tour. Cast The cast of this show were fabulous, unfortunately didn't get to see Ivano Turco play Jamie, Finton Flynn was incredible in those red heels. He portrayed the emotion of playing Jamie perfectly as well showing the young silly ...

Carrie Hope Fletcher Book Signing

Hey Guys On Monday 12th September I attended Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing for her fiction book On The Other Side at the Glee Club in Birmingham. This is the second time I have met Carrie and once again she was an absolute pleasure to listen too. I attended this event on my own, and I must stay that I think the Glee Club and the Waterstones team planned and hosted the event so well considering there was 350 people that turned up to this event and each one of those people had bought a ticket and a book. We were seated quite early as doors opened at 6 and I was in a seat by 6:30 with the event starting at 7, however there were people who turned up 10 minutes before the event and had to stand up because of all the seats that were taken which gives you an idea of how many people attended this event. Before the signing of the actual books, there was a 40 minute question and answer session with a representative from Waterstones asking Carrie questions about her book, being...

Review: Beauty and the Beast Musical

In March, me and two of my friends went to see Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney films and I was excited to see what this interpretation had in stall. The fairy-tale was first adapted into the much-loved Disney animated film in 1991 and became a Broadway production in 1993. The show opens with the familiar voice of Angela Lansbury and the enchanting music that we all recognise and with the help of the beautiful rose projection we are transported into the magic. Director Matt West leaves the story exactly how it is, only adding extra bits of comedy here and there which the audience engage with easily. The cast all suit their characters and portray them to perfection. Grace Swaby- Moore, understudy to Courtney Stapleton, was the embodiment of Belle, she captured the innocence of the character and belted the songs to perfection. Shaq Taylor portrayed the Beast will emotion and ferocity when needed. His voice ...
