Disney Haul

Over the past 2 months I have bought a lot of Disney merchandise and thought I'd share all of it with you. I have picked up a variety of different stuff and also I have birthday presents from my friends that were given to me as well which I will put in here as well. I will link as much as I can throughout.

Tsum Tsums

I love tsum tsums I have over 30 of them but I only buy the ones I'm really interested in and want to keep. I bought Hans who now completes my Frozen collection, Cogsworth and Lumiere in Clintons because they had a 3 for 2 offer on them at £3.50 each. Le Fou who 2nd one on the top row was bought out by the Disney Store to celebrate the Live Action Beauty and the Beast film so I had to have him and also picked up Gaston and Philippe to go with him which means I now only have Mrs Potts and Chip missing from that collection. At the Disney Store the tsum tsums were £3 each. My favourite has to be Cogsworth he looks the best and his detailing of the pendulum on his tummy is great.

Bottom row L-R: Hans, Cogsworth & Lumiere
DVDs

I am trying to collect all 55 Disney Classics and that has been made easier lately since there has been a 2 for £12 offer around. As an added bonus Asda and HMV have had the Disney DVDs in their shiny covers eventually my aim is to have all 55 classics in the shiny covers. I picked up Pocahontas and Mulan from Asda Living and then Snow White, Big Hero 6, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi and 101 Dalmatians from HMV.

Fashion

I have accumulated a few Disney related fashion items. First being this Mickey Mouse bag from the Disney Store, it's a very basic cross body bag that has a zip on the front with a cute Mickey hand charm then a main pocket which has the usual small zip pocket at the back and that's it. On the front is the front on Mickey's trousers the iconic two white spots and the other side is a black and white picture of Mickey with a red Mickey Mouse label. The keyring I have on it is the Mickey Mouse one from the Disney x Cath Kidston Mickey collection. This bag is expensive for what it is at £24.99 but I treated myself and used my 10% through Disney Life.

The next item is this oversized grey jumper with a black and white print of Mickey on that's by Boohoo which bought through ASOS which cost £22. I have worn this so much with jeans and leggings it's the perfect oversized slouchy jumper and I have definitely got the wear out of it. Inside it's really soft as well so it's kind to your skin and keeps you warm.

Next is a top that I bought from a little independent shop called The Happiest Fitness Company which is run by a girl called Lottie who I discovered on Twitter and have been reading and admiring her blog for a while now. I had to have this top when she announced it because it's a Tangled referenced top but subtle enough that non Disney people won't notice it. I have worn this to death especially with the weather slightly improving over here. It's a very soft light material and I love the purple and grey on it and like I said the Tangled reference. I got this for £17.50 as a pre order special price. I would highly recommend checking out this business and Lottie herself I love her blog.

The final fashion item is this Sleeping Beauty nightie from Topshop, I saw this on the website and knew I had to pick it up. I like wearing nighties to bed and also you don't get much Sleeping Beauty merchandise that is properly from the film. I like the pink colour on this and the picture as it has Aurora herself and then in the background you have Prince Philip on Samson racing to the castle. This was £19 but I had 10% student discount off it which isn't much but every little helps.

Miscellaneous

This is all the Disney items that don't warrant their own section because there isn't many. First up is this Chip cup that you can only get normally in Walt Disney World but because of Beauty and the Beast coming out last month, he was bought over here in the Disney Store and online. He cost £14.99 but I had a 15% off code from the Disney Store because of my birthday. He's a decent size and I love the detailing on him with his little Chip, he sits in my Disney corner and looks so cute.

Another item I bought from a small business is this Sleeping Beauty painting done by a girl called Lauren who has her own Etsy shop called Hearts In Disney where she has done all these amazing paintings. I have ordered two more off her since because she is that good. You have to catch openings of her Etsy store but I would highly recommend her. I hope eventually to make a Princess wall of paintings done by her. They are all various prices but fair this one is A3 and I paid £10 for it.

Next up are two Funko pops that I have added to my ever increasing collection. First, is Belle from Live Action Beauty and the Beast in her celebration dress which is my favourite dress from the film, the detailing on this Funko pop is amazing and definitely one of my favourite pops I own. My boyfriend bought this for me from the Disney Store and it was £9.99 which is a decent price. The other Funko Pop is a rare version of Captain Cassian Andor from Rogue One and I just had to buy him, he's my favourite character in Rogue One and I already had the other version of him both of which are bobble heads. I did cave in and pay HMV price for him at £16.99.

Next thing I picked up were these notecards from Clinton's I had seen a lot of Disney people on Instagram have them and I decided to have a look and I originally bought three the two Cinderella ones and a Frozen one which I gave to my boyfriend because he loves Olaf. There are loads of different ones you can get, Clinton's as a whole have upped their Disney merchandise game lately it's definitely worth checking out. They were £1 each in store.

Birthday

One of my best friends Amy bought me some awesome Disney goodies for my birthday and I love them. First is this Animator Gus Gus which is the cutest, he's £7.99 from the Disney Store. He's small but very very soft and has the cutest face, I love that there is Gus Gus merchandise and I think there should be more. Secondly is this Mickey Mouse mug again from the Disney Store, which is shaped liked Mickey's shorts. It's quite a big mug again but I use it to put chocolate in but it's well made and heavy. This is £10.99 from the Disney Store.

Amy also bought me this amazing Limited Edition metallic Cinderella Funko Pop which I asked for, but she went one better and found it like this as opposed to the normal version which makes it extra special. I like her hair on this pop the bun is so pretty and it looks 10 times better metallic. I don't know where she got it from but if you check places such as Amazon or Forbidden Planet it will pop up.

Hope you enjoyed this big Disney haul, until next time

Review- Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour

This weekend I went and watched the tour cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. I’ve not seen this show before but it has been on my list for a long time. I’d only heard one or two songs before so I was going in with no ideas of what it was like and I found it very enjoyable. Background This is based on the true story of 16 year old Jamie New who dreams of being a drag queen as well as wearing a dress to his prom. Throughout the show we see Jamie go through a journey of self discovery which has so many highs and lows. Along the way we meet people who are and aren’t supportive of his dream and how much prejudice he has to contend with. The show first opened on the West End in 2017 and is currently on its second UK tour. Cast The cast of this show were fabulous, unfortunately didn't get to see Ivano Turco play Jamie, Finton Flynn was incredible in those red heels. He portrayed the emotion of playing Jamie perfectly as well showing the young silly ...

Carrie Hope Fletcher Book Signing

Hey Guys On Monday 12th September I attended Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing for her fiction book On The Other Side at the Glee Club in Birmingham. This is the second time I have met Carrie and once again she was an absolute pleasure to listen too. I attended this event on my own, and I must stay that I think the Glee Club and the Waterstones team planned and hosted the event so well considering there was 350 people that turned up to this event and each one of those people had bought a ticket and a book. We were seated quite early as doors opened at 6 and I was in a seat by 6:30 with the event starting at 7, however there were people who turned up 10 minutes before the event and had to stand up because of all the seats that were taken which gives you an idea of how many people attended this event. Before the signing of the actual books, there was a 40 minute question and answer session with a representative from Waterstones asking Carrie questions about her book, being...

Review: Beauty and the Beast Musical

In March, me and two of my friends went to see Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney films and I was excited to see what this interpretation had in stall. The fairy-tale was first adapted into the much-loved Disney animated film in 1991 and became a Broadway production in 1993. The show opens with the familiar voice of Angela Lansbury and the enchanting music that we all recognise and with the help of the beautiful rose projection we are transported into the magic. Director Matt West leaves the story exactly how it is, only adding extra bits of comedy here and there which the audience engage with easily. The cast all suit their characters and portray them to perfection. Grace Swaby- Moore, understudy to Courtney Stapleton, was the embodiment of Belle, she captured the innocence of the character and belted the songs to perfection. Shaq Taylor portrayed the Beast will emotion and ferocity when needed. His voice ...
