Disney at work

I thought it would be interesting to talk about and show everyone, my Disney work bag and how I represent Disney whilst I am working because everyone has different rules they have to abide by so here is how I do it. Firstly we have my bag and what Disney things I keep in there for work then how I represent Disney at work. I work in a little independent pharmacy as a medicine counter assistant, luckily our uniform is pretty basic but we are allowed to wear whatever shoes and accessories we want within reason. I'll link everything that I can as well but unfortunately all the Cath Kidston X Disney items are from previous collections but check out their latest collection which is Alice in Wonderland here also check out my wishlist for the collection here
My Bag

I have been using the Disney x Cath Kidston Peter Pan charity tote bag since it came out in November and I can’t believe how well it has held up. I love the design with Peter and all the colourful stars, I’ve had loads of compliments on it as well. I literally have so much random rubbish in this bag and it’s still in one piece and has also been washed twice. It was love at first sight with this bag and I will use it until it falls apart. It’s the perfect throw everything in bag.
Purse
Michael Kors Card Holder
I am one of these people that has a card holder, which is Michael Kors, a purse for spare change and a bigger card holder for all the rest of my cards. So my coin purse is this pink Disney x Danielle Nicole Gus Gus one, it’s perfect for spare change and just shoving it all in one place which I do quite a lot. I love Gus Gus on it, it’s a really cute coin purse. Unfortunately he is sold out everywhere but check out QVC and the Disney Store for cute Danielle Nicole x Disney items. Then my big card holder is this Disney x Cath Kidston Minnie Mouse one back from the first phase of Mickey and Minnie designs. It’s perfect it has so many pockets which I have filled with cards and even doubled up in some cases but it’s worn really well and something I keep using.

Compact Mirror
Tangle Teezer
Disney Store Bag
Pouch

In my bag I also keep a Cinderella pouch which I bought from Boots last year which I use to keep all the little bits and pieces in my bag together. Such as plasters, tablets, hair bobbles, hand sanitizer etc. The only Disney thing I have in here is a little Cinderella pocket mirror from Clinton’s which is really pretty. Unfortunately you can't get this pouch anymore as it was for Christmas only.

Hairbrush

I have been using only Tangle Teezers for years so it’s only right for me to get a Disney themed one I keep the Compact styler in the Frozen design with Anna and Elsa on in my bag. These are just the perfect hairbrush I think and there’s now so many Disney designs to choose from.

Spare bag

I always keep a spare bag in my bag for when I go shopping and in all of the bags I use I also end up putting a Disney Store carrier bag in there. I’ve accumulated so many I now have one for every bag I use, they come in handy you never know when you will need one.

So that’s all the Disney stuff I take to work on a daily basis, so now I’ll show you how I represent Disney whilst I’m working.

Lanyard

Lanyard

I bought this Cinderella lanyard from Where Seams Come True on Etsy as I needed a holder for my NHS card whilst I am at work, it also houses my name badge and my Dementia Friends badge. It catches people’s attention when I wear and I’ve had both good and bad comments on it. I love the bow on its my favourite bit of the lanyard.

Earrings
Earrings
I wear Mickey head earrings that I got last year from Couture Kingdom, I’ve lived in them from the moment I got them. They are the perfect size and don’t irritate my ears, I adore them so much and thinks it’s a lovely subtle Disney accessory I think.

Watch

Watch
Ever since I visited Disneyland Paris last year and saw the Mickey clock on the Disneyland hotel I’ve wanted something similar with Mickey’s hands as the clock hands. For Christmas my boyfriend bought me this watch from H Samuel and it’s the most perfect thing I’ve ever had. I love the simplicity of it with the plain black strap and the Mickey face and hands as the clock, again something else I live in daily. It’s also very durable the amount of times I’ve banged it on the edge of shelves and not even a scratch on the face I’m so impressed.

Pen
Pen
If I was a pen I’d be this pen it’s a pink and black glittery Disney pen that has Mickey glove and ears inside the top that moves with pink glitter. I love this pen and use it for everything at work. I got this pen from Typo, they have such good Disney bits and stationary. I cannot find the exact pen but they do have one similar on the Typo website which I shall link.

I hope you enjoyed this post, until next time

Review- Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour

This weekend I went and watched the tour cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. I’ve not seen this show before but it has been on my list for a long time. I’d only heard one or two songs before so I was going in with no ideas of what it was like and I found it very enjoyable. Background This is based on the true story of 16 year old Jamie New who dreams of being a drag queen as well as wearing a dress to his prom. Throughout the show we see Jamie go through a journey of self discovery which has so many highs and lows. Along the way we meet people who are and aren’t supportive of his dream and how much prejudice he has to contend with. The show first opened on the West End in 2017 and is currently on its second UK tour. Cast The cast of this show were fabulous, unfortunately didn't get to see Ivano Turco play Jamie, Finton Flynn was incredible in those red heels. He portrayed the emotion of playing Jamie perfectly as well showing the young silly ...

Carrie Hope Fletcher Book Signing

Hey Guys On Monday 12th September I attended Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing for her fiction book On The Other Side at the Glee Club in Birmingham. This is the second time I have met Carrie and once again she was an absolute pleasure to listen too. I attended this event on my own, and I must stay that I think the Glee Club and the Waterstones team planned and hosted the event so well considering there was 350 people that turned up to this event and each one of those people had bought a ticket and a book. We were seated quite early as doors opened at 6 and I was in a seat by 6:30 with the event starting at 7, however there were people who turned up 10 minutes before the event and had to stand up because of all the seats that were taken which gives you an idea of how many people attended this event. Before the signing of the actual books, there was a 40 minute question and answer session with a representative from Waterstones asking Carrie questions about her book, being...

Review: Beauty and the Beast Musical

In March, me and two of my friends went to see Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney films and I was excited to see what this interpretation had in stall. The fairy-tale was first adapted into the much-loved Disney animated film in 1991 and became a Broadway production in 1993. The show opens with the familiar voice of Angela Lansbury and the enchanting music that we all recognise and with the help of the beautiful rose projection we are transported into the magic. Director Matt West leaves the story exactly how it is, only adding extra bits of comedy here and there which the audience engage with easily. The cast all suit their characters and portray them to perfection. Grace Swaby- Moore, understudy to Courtney Stapleton, was the embodiment of Belle, she captured the innocence of the character and belted the songs to perfection. Shaq Taylor portrayed the Beast will emotion and ferocity when needed. His voice ...
