Reintroducing my Disney self

So I thought it would be a good idea to refresh and reintroduce my Disney self as I haven't done this for a long time and I found a template floating around on Instagram stories that was a lot more detailed so I thought I'd use that. It's split into movies, characters, parks and other.

Movies

Favourite Movie?
Aladdin, I've always this movie and everything about it the music, the characters. It is also my earliest memory of watching a Disney movie.

Least Favourite Movie?
Pinocchio, I really don't like this film I hated it as child especially when the boy turns into a donkey that's traumatising when you're younger. Also hate the Disneyland Paris ride as well that's terrifying to me.

Favourite sequel?
The Lion King 2, I love this sequel it's so good, unpopular opinion I prefer the music in this film to the original Lion King. Generally I really like sequels, I used to watch them quite a lot when I was younger. My other favourite is The Little Mermaid 2.

Favourite Marvel movie?
Captain America Winter Soldier, I could have said a few other but the reason I chose this film was because this is the film that got me into Marvel properly and it's stayed with me every since. I adore Cap and Bucky they will forever be my favourites.

Favourite Live Action Movie?
Cinderella where do I start with this film, I adore it so much that I could write an entire blog post about it. This film gives me so much comfort, I used to watch it daily at uni to get me through and it's lead to some amazing experiences I've shared with friends because of it developing shared interests.

Favourite Disney Show?
Tangled the Series, I'd seen the Disney community go mad for this series but I had no idea how they watched it but then at the back end of last year it came onto Disney Life and I really enjoyed it and will continue to watch when it comes to Disney Life.

Favourite song?
A Whole New World from Aladdin, I've already expressed my love for this film. This song is just timeless and so beautiful. It's also really pretty to watch in the film and on stage.

Characters

Favourite Princess?
Rapunzel, I love how accepting she is of everyone and that nothing phases her and she pushes herself outside her comfort zone to get what she wanted. Also she's incredibly lovely to everyone.

Favourite character ?
Winnie the Pooh, he's such a special character to me and my boyfriend he makes us so happy when we are down. Again I could write a whole other post on how much we love Winnie the Pooh and how much he means to us.

Favourite hero/heroine?
Hercules, I love this film as well but I chose Hercules for this question because he learns in one of hardest ways what a true hero is and it's good to see that.

Favourite Marvel character?
I love Captain America, I love his morals and the no man gets left behind attitude that he has. I'm so worried what's going to happen to him in Endgame.

Favourite Animal?
Flounder has always been my favourite he's so cute and funny.

Favourite villain?
My favourite villains song is Poor Unfortunate Souls so I'd make Ursula my favourite villain, I love how over exaggerated she is and how low she will stoop to prevent her plans from being ruined, it's purely mean.

Favourite couple?
I'd have to say Ella and Kit from Cinderella because their relationship was bult on love because they were just two people who met and had no idea what backgrounds they came from and it's gorgeous to watch that relationship develop.

Saddest death?
Ray from Princess and the Frog this destroyed me when I watched it, because of Ray being reunited with his love that was so cute.

Disney Crush?
My first ever Disney crush was Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty and I still quite fancy him now.

What character would be your best friend?
Rapunzel because I love her energy and positivity and all the other points I covered about why she is my favourite princess.

Parks

What parks have you been to?
I have only been to Disneyland Paris and that was once for the first time in 2017 for my birthday.

What park do you most want to go to?
Obviously Walt Disney World, I have no idea when this will be possible though.

Favourite ride?
I love Big Thunder Mountain it's the classic kind of roller coaster, it's amazing especially with the update it had.

Favourite park?
I love Fantasyland in the Disneyland Park, I'm a proper Princess person and Fantasyland is like my idea of heaven, it's just so pretty.

Favourite Disney snack?
I don't have one but I really want to try a Mickey head rice krispy treat it looks like something I'd enjoy.

Favourite holiday at the parks?
When I went in 2017 is was the first Season of the Force which was really good but I reall want to go at Christmas it looks so magical.
Favourite meet and greet?
I don't know if it counts as a meet and greet but we had breakfast at Mickey’s in the Disneyland village for my birthday and I got to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time which is so special.

Favourite photo from a meet and greet?

Favourite restaurant?
When we went I really liked Plaza Gardens in the Disneyland park, the food variety was amazing and I loved the location of the resturant itself as well.

Other
Unpopular Disney opinion?
I don't really like Pixar films I much prefer Disney classics, I think I only really like The Incredibles but none of the others have struck me as wow.
Favourite Disney instagrams?
I follow so many with having my own Disney Instagram so I'm going to give you my top 5
Brogan Tate
Charlotte Ruff
Hannah from Courage and Kindness
Roisin from DisneyFind
Beth from BethanyFrancesca

So that is me, my Disney self and I, I hope you enjoyed this post and please check out my Disney Instagram for more of me and Disney.

Review- Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour

This weekend I went and watched the tour cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. I’ve not seen this show before but it has been on my list for a long time. I’d only heard one or two songs before so I was going in with no ideas of what it was like and I found it very enjoyable. Background This is based on the true story of 16 year old Jamie New who dreams of being a drag queen as well as wearing a dress to his prom. Throughout the show we see Jamie go through a journey of self discovery which has so many highs and lows. Along the way we meet people who are and aren’t supportive of his dream and how much prejudice he has to contend with. The show first opened on the West End in 2017 and is currently on its second UK tour. Cast The cast of this show were fabulous, unfortunately didn't get to see Ivano Turco play Jamie, Finton Flynn was incredible in those red heels. He portrayed the emotion of playing Jamie perfectly as well showing the young silly ...

Carrie Hope Fletcher Book Signing

Hey Guys On Monday 12th September I attended Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing for her fiction book On The Other Side at the Glee Club in Birmingham. This is the second time I have met Carrie and once again she was an absolute pleasure to listen too. I attended this event on my own, and I must stay that I think the Glee Club and the Waterstones team planned and hosted the event so well considering there was 350 people that turned up to this event and each one of those people had bought a ticket and a book. We were seated quite early as doors opened at 6 and I was in a seat by 6:30 with the event starting at 7, however there were people who turned up 10 minutes before the event and had to stand up because of all the seats that were taken which gives you an idea of how many people attended this event. Before the signing of the actual books, there was a 40 minute question and answer session with a representative from Waterstones asking Carrie questions about her book, being...

Review: Beauty and the Beast Musical

In March, me and two of my friends went to see Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney films and I was excited to see what this interpretation had in stall. The fairy-tale was first adapted into the much-loved Disney animated film in 1991 and became a Broadway production in 1993. The show opens with the familiar voice of Angela Lansbury and the enchanting music that we all recognise and with the help of the beautiful rose projection we are transported into the magic. Director Matt West leaves the story exactly how it is, only adding extra bits of comedy here and there which the audience engage with easily. The cast all suit their characters and portray them to perfection. Grace Swaby- Moore, understudy to Courtney Stapleton, was the embodiment of Belle, she captured the innocence of the character and belted the songs to perfection. Shaq Taylor portrayed the Beast will emotion and ferocity when needed. His voice ...
